Privacy

Font Loft is a static-feeling, server-rendered PHP site. There are no user accounts, no comment sections, no contact form, no analytics SDK, and no cookies set by the site itself. That keeps this page short.

What the site knows about you

Like every web server on the public internet, the PHP server logs the bare minimum needed to run a website: the requesting IP address, the requested URL, the HTTP user-agent, and the HTTP status code returned. These logs are rotated frequently and used only to debug 404s, 500s, and the occasional crawler that mistakes the site for an open-relay. They are never shared with third parties, never aggregated into a profile, and never used to send you anything.

The site itself sets no cookies. There is no session, no login, no preferences saved server-side. If your browser shows a cookie associated with the site, it was set by an embedded third party — see below.

Third parties

The only third party embedded on the site is Google AdSense, which serves the ad slots in the page header, in-content, sidebar, and footer. AdSense sets its own cookies (or uses other persistent identifiers, depending on your region) to measure ad performance and personalize the ads it serves you. Google's privacy practices for AdSense are documented at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. If you opt out of personalized ads at the Google account level, that opt-out applies on this site too.

Outbound download links on every pack page point to the original artist's host — usually OpenGameArt.org, DeviantArt, itch.io, or a personal portfolio. Once you click through, you are subject to that host's privacy practices, not ours.

Children

Font Loft is a general-audience site about desktop customization and is suitable for visitors of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the site does not have accounts, comment sections, or any input fields whatsoever, the only data ever transmitted from a visitor is the standard request metadata listed above.

EU and UK visitors

If you visit from a region where consent for advertising cookies is required, Google AdSense's consent mechanism handles the prompt. Declining personalized advertising will switch the slots to non-personalized ads; the rest of the site will continue to work identically.

Changes to this notice

If this notice changes, we'll update the date in the page footer and post a brief note in the changelog.

Quick install reference

Install any cursor pack on Windows in two minutes

Every pack on Font Loft ships as native .cur and .ani files — the same formats Windows has used since 1995. There is no installer, no browser extension, and no background process.

Windows 10

  1. Download the pack from the artist's source page and unzip it to C:\Windows\Cursors\<pack-name>\.
  2. Press Win+R, type main.cpl, and press Enter to open the classic Mouse Properties dialog.
  3. Switch to the Pointers tab. For each role (Normal Select, Link Select, Text, Busy, Precision…) click Browse and pick the matching .cur or .ani.
  4. Click Save As…, name your scheme, and hit Apply to lock it in across reboots.

Windows 11 (incl. 24H2)

  1. Open Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Mouse → Additional mouse settings, or use the same Win+R → main.cpl shortcut.
  2. On the Pointers tab, browse to your unzipped folder and assign each cursor file to its matching role.
  3. If a 4K display upscales the pack, drop the Mouse pointer size slider in Settings → Accessibility → Mouse pointer and touch to 1 so cursors render at native resolution.
  4. Save as a named scheme — Windows 11 keeps schemes in HKCU\Control Panel\Cursors so you can swap them any time.
